Mallorca Vacation Workshop with Brenda Murray

May 6-10, 2025

Discover Palma de Mallorca's rich history, architecture and art as you stroll around the medieval quarter of this sun-drenched Mediterranean city. This vacation package is equal parts cultural experience and art class. You will enjoy 5 art classes taught by Brenda Murray plus several demonstrations, and many sketching opportunities. We are looking forward to making art in good company. Average temperatures in Mallorca at this time of year are a high of 70-72°F (21-22°C) in the day and a night-time low of 50-53°F (10-11°C).

Meet Brenda Murray

Brenda is a Canadian artist, art instructor and the owner of Studio 56. She has taught in-person and online workshops.  A seasoned traveler, Brenda has traveled to 28 countries and lived in South Korea for 4 years. She has also visited Mallorca in 2024 to become familiar with the island to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Learn more about Brenda HERE.

About Palma de Mallorca

Palma is a small island in the Mediterranean belonging to Spain. It was founded as a Roman camp upon the remains of a Talaiotic settlement, The city was raided several times, reconquered by the Byzantine Empire then colonised by the Moors (who called it Medina Mayurqa) and, in the 13th century, by James I of Aragon. We will explore and sketch the massive Santa María cathedral, a Gothic landmark begun in the 13th century, the adjacent Almudaina Palace, a Moorish-style Arab fortress converted to a royal residence, Bellver Castle, a medieval fortress with a distinctive circular shape and more.

When to Arrive?

Sunday May 4, 2025

Welcome to Palma de Mallorca!  Your arrival date is your decision but we suggest you arrive on Sunday May 4 so that you have time to settle in and possibly to adjust to a new time zone or the vagaries of travel which, as we know, could include a missed or delayed flight. Better to be relaxed at the start of your vacation workshop.
