We're going to have a lot of fun using toned paper and coloured pencils to sketch this charming square with its Mercat Cross in Culross Scotland.
Students will get an over-the-shoulder view and can sketch along with Brenda Murray from a reference photo during this 76 minute online workshop.
Materials Used in this Tutorial
Please note you don't have to use the same materials I used. Pencil crayons will work just as well as watercolour pencils and a beige toned paper or even a brown paper bag will also work well.
- a pencil and eraser
- a Faber Castell Pitt Artists Pen XS 0.1 and F
- Signo Uniball white gel pen
- watercolour pencils: Faber Castell Burnt Ochre, Venetian red, warm grey V, light ultramarine, Helioblue reddish, Juniper Green, ultramarine; and Caran d'Ache cream, blueish pale; and Faber Castell Polychromos white; and Bruynzeel Aquarel 458 (navy blue); and Derwent Inktense black
- the reference photo is in the Intro of the tutorial
PLEASE NOTE FEED YOUR CREATIVE SOUL STUDENTS: THIS TUTORIAL IS INCLUDED IN YOUR SUBSCRIPTION.
