Maurice and another fellow were the first to scale the 8000 metre Annapurna peak in Nepal in 1950.  I stumbled upon the house when I visited Chamonix, France in 2024. It is now the Maison des Artistes, a place where musicians can stay and record music. I was impressed with its steep roof mirroring Mont Blanc that you can see behind it. I love to sketch the odd shapes of this building set in its tranquil and very colourful background. Students will get an over-the-shoulder view and can sketch along with Brenda from the reference photo below.
