Optional Warm Up Sketch

For anyone who is available, we will be meeting in the lobby of Hotel Champlain, 115, rue Sainte-Anne at 3:00 on Wednesday July 30 for a warm up sketch. Stephanie will not be teaching. This is your opportunity to dust off your painting kit with a little warm up sketch. Please RSVP.

Welcome Reception

We will be hosting a wine and cheese Welcome Reception on Wednesday July 30. Location to be announced later. We will meet in the hotel lobby at 6:00pm. All event ticket holders are invited. Packing Tips

While no one will be checking up on you, I suggest you consider hand luggage only to avoid any possibility of you becoming separated from your luggage. Click HERE to see a short little video about that.

Airport Transportation

The best method of transportation from the airport to the hotel is via taxi. You will find taxis in front of the airport.

This is your reminder that the remaining balance for your QC Artist Retreat tickets is due today. To pay off the balance, please click HERE.

Also, have you made your hotel reservations yet? If not, I advise you to take care of that asap. 

The Artist and the Tour Manager will be staying at Hotel Champlain, 115, rue Sainte-Anne, Old Quebec, a charming 3-star 53-room hotel in the centre of old Quebec City. You can book your room via their hotel website and you will get an automatic 10% discount. If you want to stay in this hotel, I suggest you make your reservation right away as our retreat is in high season and rooms are going fast. If you book via their website they have free cancellation up to 24 hours prior arrival. Beyond this deadline, one night plus taxes will be charged on your credit card. The room rate starts at $227 CANADIAN DOLLARS/night plus tax including breakfast. You can click HERE to use a currency converter to figure out what the rate is in your currency. You are not obligated to stay in this hotel. You can stay in any nearby hotel or Airbnb if you wish however, the group will meet in this hotel lobby every morning to start our day together.

Today we sold our 10th and 11th tickets which means that we can now greenlight this workshop! :)

Remaining Balance

Passport Expiry

Please note that your passport must be valid for more than 6 months after the return date of your trip. Please take a moment now to check that your passport is up to date.

Trip Cancellation + Medical Insurance

Last minute cancellations for any reason are nonrefundable therefore we advise you to protect your investment in this vacation by purchasing travel insurance. Click HERE for a list of US travel insurance companies. Some credit card companies may also offer travel insurance if you paid for your trip using that credit card. We also advise travel medical insurance for nonCanadians in case you need medical attention.

When to Arrive

We will be hosting an optional warm up sketch at 3:00 on Wed. July 30 and a Welcome Reception at 6:00pm that night (more info to follow). If there is a huge time difference between your home and Quebec City, we suggest you arrive on Tuesday July 29 so that you have time to get over jet lag. If you're in the same time zone you may wish to arrive on the morning of the 30th in time to participate in the optional warm up sketch.
