Lynne Chapman is a textile designer, children's book illustrator and urban sketcher from Sheffield, UK.
"I sketched this lovely, old, British fire engine during a sketchcrawl day with my local group, Urban Sketchers Yorkshire. We were visiting the International Emergency Services Museum in Sheffield, where I live. The museum has a yard, where the vintage vehicles are parked, so I sat on my little stool in the sunshine and painted my favourite - it’s called a Dennis F8 and it began life nearly 65 years ago, in 1955! It would once have had two shiny, silver bells suspended from the hoops at the top, plus ladders on the roof, but they’ve got lost along the way."
